We are the church together.

The church is not a building, the church is not a steeple,
The church is not a dwelling place
The church is the people!
If you’re familiar with the lyrics of the children’s song above, you probably have the tune running through your head. Its message is so true: We are the church. The church is not a building or an organization; it’s us.
The apostle Paul uses the analogy of a human body as representing the Body of Christ – the church. “In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others” (Romans 12:5 NIV). Each follower of Christ is a living, functioning part of something much bigger than himself. We are not our own. Each of us belongs to all the others and ultimately to God.
